This was an 8 days trip to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco with Thomas and Erik (from Kamchatka), 5 other guests (Peder, Jonas, Fred, Micke and Daniel) and two guides (Kristin and Mikke), in February 2004.

Me, carrying all my stuff.

Notice the backpack - it's not this year's model, but it works well.

Some of the carriers down where the donkeys take over the heavy work.

This collection of sheds half way down from the Refuge is here because of the holy stone. That's the big, white rock. People come here from all the corners of Morocco because of this stone, and of course there are people here to sell souvenirs to tourists.

Two old women heading up towards the stone and the merchant sheds.

Erik, Thomas, me, Kristin and Mikke drinking tea and eating something with lots of energy in. We've just come back down to Imlil.

This man failed to sell us anything, but he sure tried hard! The happy smile comes from the 10 Dirham he got for letting Fred take his picture. Can you tell they like sugar in this country?
|

Notice the shape of the walls of this place we passed on the way to Marrakech. Many, many walls have a similar pattern.
